Making the Right Choice

Whoa, its been over a month since I've even looked at my blog. I think I am spending too much time on Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, I can't tell if its a good thing (for keeping in touch, etc) or a bad thing (wasting time, etc). I don't really have anything new to post but wanted to keep this thing "alive"! LOL I've been praying a lot lately for my kids, my friends, my family....And, since I've been saved (a whopping 6 years or so) I've always had this overwhelming feeling of fear and worry for my unsaved friends and family. Society today, even churches, kind of skirt the issue of Hell....and, quite frankly, I think that if we don't tell the people we love about the reality of Hell, then we don't love them at all. The Gospel is clear....in John 3:16...for God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so whoever shall believe in Him will have eternal life (that was paraphrased in my own words by the way, LOL). God's plan is truly about love and a relationship with Jesus. But, the reality is that there is no grey area....you can't have "religion", you can't be "good" and work your way into Heaven, you can't just believe Jesus is God's son. You MUST have a relationship with Jesus by asking Him into your heart and life. If you don't, you don't go to Heaven. These are harsh statements, I know. That is why I have overwhelming fear and worry for my unsaved friends and family. On Sunday, our Pastor pointed to many "signs" that the end is closer than ever before. And, he made a very sobering comment...he said that if you are uncomfortable with the "end" (that is, the end of the world as we know it...) or with Jesus coming back...if you are squirming in your seat...that is a sign that you have unfinished business with God. Are you uncomfortable knowing that the end is near (even a little bit)? Don't chalk it up to "fear of the unknown"...it is God tugging at your heart so you will make the right choice TODAY!
