Today we will celebrate the life of Cindy Wyatt. Her life was a life well-lived. A life that impacted so many. Cindy and I had a heart-connection-kind-of-friendship that could have only been crafted by our God. We weren't the kind of friends that talked every day. But, God placed Cindy in my heart and there grew my love for her. I recall our first chat over coffee at Starbucks the first year the Crossroads Church came to be. I informed Cindy that I was a "brand new" Christian and that I really didn't really know what I was "supposed" to do...or what was "next" in my walk with the Lord. You see, I came to know Jesus at Northwest Bible Church (in Ohio) less than a year before we were moved to the Desert. On that hot, sunny day in August (my birthday to be exact), Cindy Wyatt instilled in me the need and desire to SERVE...to follow God's prompting, to show people love...the same love that God had shown me. Cindy equipped me with some "tools", pointed me in the right direction and I was off! I will never be the same. And, it all started with a simple comment, in pure Cindy-style, with her spunky-yet-slight accent..."So, Nancy, what's your gift?" I hope I make you proud, my sweet friend.
