First Day of a New School

Payton started Anthem Prep today.  Here are her comments:

-"It didn't feel like school."

-"They don't call you by your name.  They called me Miss Chadwick."

-"I liked Mr. Clark because I think you can joke around with him."

-"I had to carry my backpack around all day.  Everyone does."

-"The math wasn't as hard as I thought it would be."

-"I sat with Maddie and Olivia at lunch.  Oh, and their lockers are right by mine, too!"

-"I'm only going here for one year."  (to which I laughed out loud)  ;-)

So, that was about all we got for the first day of a new school.   Change is always hard.  For me, I think it's the actual transition to something new that is difficult.  You know, when your right, smack in the middle of the change.  But, once the change has occurred, I adapt pretty well.  I think Payton is like that, too.
