A recap of the last few weeks..

Bad blogger.  Yep that's me.  Maybe I'm too inconsistent for this blogging thing.  Well, when I started this blog, I had the idea that I would eventually turn it into a "book" and give each of our kids a copy.  Well, as blogs have become more and more popular, there is now a company (probably several) that will actually do that for you!  Turn your blog into a book!  How cool is that?  When I am old and grey (wait, I AM already old and grey)....I will have two copies of my blog made from beginning to end so Payton and Connor can remember me and read my (sometimes crazy) thoughts over the years.

It's been a busy few weeks.  I guess I'll just share the highlights of what we've done and what I've learned (always looking to learn things in life....):

-Lots of dinner parties with old friends and new

-Tim Hawkins Comedy Show with friends and family was a major highlight

-Learned from Mr. Hawkins that if you can't laugh at yourself....you should laugh at others  ;-)

-God has placed special people in my life and I am sooooo thankful for each and every one ("thankful" doesn't even seem sufficient)

-I've never been super comfy with sharing my faith with people, but I'm learning that that is precisely what God expects us to do....share our faith with people.  See above...I love the people in my life too much to NOT share my faith with them.

-Spent some time helping a friend with an Auction she is doing to raise money to provide homeless children with a weekly sports program.

-I went on a Field Trip with Connor's class to the Farm

-I volunteered in the little guy's class last week (extremely entertaining, I must say)

-We had Payton's 12th birthday party here....a pool party, a few raffles, karaoke and ended the night at the Youth Group's Saturday Night Dodge Ball game

-Taught myself iMovie on the Mac so I could help Payton with a video for Youth Group.  I'll have to figure out if I can upload that movie here somehow.  It turned out super-cute!
